Describe your role at One Click Contractor?

I specialize in business development and key account management. Once I determine how a company functions from start to finish, I have the insight to deliver solutions to customers that improve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

When you’re not creating solutions for our customers, how do you spend your time?

We also attend as many Clemson sporting events as we have time for, including ALL the football games. My wife and I also enjoy home improvement, ranging from fixing up our home, helping friends with projects, or buying a house to flip. I also love to cook when I have the time.

What do you like most about being Chief Commercial Officer at One Click Contractor?

I get to help companies and contractors solve business problems and improve their results by working smarter, not harder,

Tell me about your background before coming to One Click Contractor?

Drink wine on a new granite counertopI have spent my entire career in the home improvement industry, covering many different areas, including manufacturing, retail, contracting, and technology. I suppose you could say that I enjoy learning the industry from multiple points of view, and in many ways, this has perfectly positioned me for my role today.

I spent over 12 years at The Home Depot working in the installation side of the business, with 10 of those years as one of the key executives for their exterior remodeling subsidiary. We were one of the largest remodeling contractors in the U.S. with over 2,000 employees, but working independently and solely under the Home Depot brand. And going from one of the largest to one of the smallest, my wife and I purchased a very small countertop fabricator four years ago. Over two years, we turned it into a very successful kitchen & bath/builder showroom with a 5x sales increase, selling and installing cabinets, countertops, and flooring. We were made an excellent offer and decided to sell in late 2019, which opened up my availability to work with One Click Contractor. We were still able to enjoy our work (and a glass of wine too) on the new granite countertop we installed for a neighbor.

What have you always wanted to try and never have?

SkydivingSkydiving - I still can't bring myself to jump out of a perfectly good airplane!

Tell us three things most people don’t know about you…

1) I can play golf both right and left-handed (but not very good at either).

2) I was nominated to the Naval Academy.

3) I like Menudo (the soup, not the boy band)

If you had a time machine and could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?

signing of the declaration of independanceWithout a doubt, it would be the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It's incredible to think about the resolve and courage it took to sign a document that you knew would take an escalating conflict and turn it into a full-scale war against a seemingly insurmountable enemy. To go forward knowing there was a high likelihood of failure, yet doing it because you believed in a better way of living, a better form of government. It's the one formal act that was the genesis of this great country we are blessed to live in.
