1980
Dale Thornberry began his contracting career as a general contractor, building everything from houses, and sunrooms to aluminum structures and screen rooms. Working mostly in Florida and Indiana, Dale’s been honing his contractor skills and expertise for over 43 years.
2001
Google Earth was born. Using the recognition of satellite and aerial imagery, Dale realized he would be able to measure roofs without actually having to go anywhere.
2008
OCC founders create patented technology (8 patents) now being used for remote measurements: aerial, satellite, and ground source. Today, the technology in those patents is being used by everyone in the roofing industry.
2009
Google Maps and Google Earth inspired Dale & the OCC founding team to create and patent a new remote measurement service, GeoEstimator. GeoEstimator revolutionized how roofing contractors and insurance companies determined the cost of repairing and replacing roofs.
2016
Measurements led to estimates. In 2016, Dale decided to take GeoEstimator a step further and created One Click Contractor because measurements are great, but the most important thing for contractors is using measurements to create estimates.
2019
In 2019, OCC hit one billion dollars in estimates run inside the platform. They also partnered with leading roof manufacturers to provide a safe way to measure and estimate projects from the ground.
2020
Big box stores and home remodeling companies began to recognize the value of OCC and implement the platform into their daily work routines.
2022
OCC reaches 10 billion dollars in estimates and supports over 250 manufacturers.
Today
OCC has conducted over 14 billion dollars worth of estimates and hosts over 8,500 users within the platform.
